Hello,

I’ve been driving since I was 17 and have owned an S14a Touring and an S15 Spec-R. I currently drive an S13 which I bought this morning so Joe would let me post – I kid, I kid.

Modifications

Since buying my S13 in November last year I’ve replaced the radiator, water pump (that was leaking) and the cam belt.

The most expensive modification I’ve made to date is to my suspension having installed Apex Gen II coilovers with 6/5 springs and a full alignment kit. As a result, the handling has drastically improved, though due to the poor condition of the roads in the UK I now have the spine of a 70 year old, Argh!

What’s next?

Unfortunately I’m stuck with an insurer that is extremely strict when it comes to modifications that increase power. There’s a reason why I’m stuck with this insurer and I may cover that in a future post, heh. Until I can break free (fingers crossed, August 2009) I’ve decided to focus my attention on aesthetics. This is how my car looks now, nothing has changed since the day I bought it:

Rather than harp on about my plans that may or may not happen (because life’s unpredictable) I’ll make a promise to update you if they do.

Lastly, thanks to Joe for allowing me to write for 180sx.co.uk.

GK brought his sweet FC along as well and we got some serious convoy kudos on the way down

Now the car is back on the road and feels so much better. the old ones were worn out so now the steering feels ace, but not only that the tracking of the car was way out too.

The rear was toeing out 1.5mm on offside and 1mm on near side. The camber was taken in on the front from -3.5 to -1.4 and is now toeing in by 1mm.

It feels like a totally different car now.

Hey guys,
My friend GK just picked up his new toy - this sweet Top Secret tuned Mazda RX7 FC. We cleaned up the cars and did a quick photo session. I know it’s nothing to do with 180sx’s but I couldn’t resist posting it up here as it really is gorgeous. A VERY nice [...]
