My 13 went for an alignment set up today, because I’ve fitted coilovers and adjustable arms it was all done by guess work and eye… badly…

Having just put a new pair of falkens on the front I didn’t want to eat through them within miles, so I booked myself in with TTS Roadsport while they advertise as VAG (VW & Audi) specialists they are quite happy to take on other work.

This past week I’ve been in Bruges…

Bruges is a small city in Belgium, it’s incredibly pictureque and is famous for its chocolate and real ale (amongst other things).

When out and about I’m constantly on the lookout for 200s but I never expected to stumble across a 200 in the streets of Bruges!

Now the SX has been on the road for a little bit it was time to get it checked over, so this evening I headed over to Steve @ FC Tuning.

When I arrived (late!!) Steve hooked up the wideband and det detector to the car, I was there to have a general check over and set up the AVCR. The car was running about 10psi on actuator boost, but with my set up I should be running about 18psi.

Hey guys, I haven’t updated my 180sx’s blog in a good while so I thought i’d rectify that with some news of what is in store for my car over the next few months.

Let’s kick off with the aero changes, i’ve purchased this rather nice Silvia S15 Spec-R aero spoiler. I’m still in two minds about replacing my URAS GT wing with it but I figure i’ll just paint it up and run with it for a few weeks and see how I feel about it afterwards (i’m a die hard BGW fan but i’d like to try something a bit different for next year).

Next up are the coilovers, i’m running JIC Magic racing coilovers as my current setup but I have to admit after nearly a year of using this car as my daily driver I am starting to hate them! There are no damping options, just a rock hard track biased setup.

I’ve investigated HKS, Tein, Driftworks, Top Secret and Apex Performance coilovers and I think the rig that’s going to suit my car and my driving style the best are the Apex ones. I’m looking at running the 6/5 springs on them. Hopefully in the new year I can sell on my JIC’s and pickup a nice set of Apex 6/5’s.

The next item on my wish list are new rims! I love my white GTR’s but I am hankering after some serious Japanese dish action. I am on the hunt for some proper fitment Work Meisters, SSR Professors or anything else that is gorgeous and dishy. The wheels pictured are brand new SSR Professors with the gloss black finish, they would be my dream wheels but i’m not sure I can justify (or afford!) the £1700 before tax and tyres price tag..

Finally I will need to replace my stock clutch with an uprated unit, possibly an RPS street max but i’ll do some research into that at a later date. Oh and I need to finish off my Nistune ECU fitting and mapping with FC Tuning.

Wow it’s going to be an expensive year!
