JAE 2008 Video
JAE - what can I say? In a word: awesome.
I’m back from JAE now and i’m exhausted! The show was really awesome, the cars looked great, massive crowds and the weather was blinding.
I spent the weekend polishing my 180sx (on the Funky Power stand), checking out some awesome machines (I’ve never seen so many gorgeous T04Z turbos in the same place), and enjoying the friendly banter and incredible weather with more then a few Magners to smooth along the whole process..
My 180sx was on the stand beside the Funky Power NSX and it didn’t look *too* out of place 
I chatted with a guy from Banzai magazine and fingers crossed he took some sweet pictures.
We have put together a small video of our JAE experience, check that out at the top of this post and the photos we took will follow soon.

I saw your car at JAE, I spent a long time walking around it hoping that the owner would approach me so we could have a chat!
Never mind, I just enjoyed looking at it and hoping that one day I have the funds to do something similar to mine. I really like the body kit, I wasn’t sure on the rivets but they’re slowly growing on me - excuse my ignorance, but do they serve a purpose or are they purely for aesthetic purposes?
My car isn’t very well at the moment but the good news is, if it’s as broken as I think it is I am going to go all out on a decent rebuild. It’s the only way I can justify it to the missus - it’s broken, I have to fix it!

Thanks for the comment, I must admit I didn’t spend very time time at the stand as I was mostly checking out the other cars at the show and .. the beer tent
The rivets are there for the look, but the theory is if you smash or dent the rear panel you can just pop it off and replace it with another, where as if you had bonded it in place your pretty much buggered!
Thats a shame about your car, what do you have? If it is an s13 then you should get it on this site! I’d love to see some pics and info.
Haha yeah the biggest hurdle of building these cars has got to be justifying “wasting” thousands to the missus..
