This is the video of the RCCA Okinawa Drift day brought to you by Dirty D. Thanks bro and lots of great slidding going on this 4th of July. What better way to celebrate the 4th than shredding some tires.

A few pics of the Sil80 in Action. Some of the shots arent as good as they could be but thanks to the guys like my boy Fisch and Josh for hooking it up with the shots. This is the first time I have drifted with the 180 since the new paint and turbo kit was put on. She handles like a dream.

Scrappy you lucky bastard. Nago is a great scenic area to drive isn’t it? Not to mention you have that really nice japanese built express way too. Where you at in Kadena or something? is there a big junkyard out the main gate that deal with mosty modded cars. An American guy still running it and I think he is into the big drift stuff as well? I think there is an RX7 out there too that is supposed to be the fastest car on the island. Ever Talked to him at all. Its been about since 2002 since I been there and I had a blast and that was when drifting started getting big.

Ya thats where I am. Your talking about Scott (Head) and yeah he is still there but out in Yomitan. There is a junkyard out gate 1 and his name is Bill and he deals with a lot of cars. B & M okinawa. We have to find some way to have fun on this small island.

Abuse it and get cheap repair parts anywhere!!! Just great. Hey scrappy I think I been to that track beleive it or not. The guys name is Robert Lambert from D’s Garage. At least back in 2002. Seen him. Maybe dudes that work on base auto hobby shop might still know him. Just checking to see how he is doing. Whats your job in Kadena?

Well I built this car for the sole purpose of getting beat on. I like to keep it clean but nothing makes me happier than to take it out and beat on it.

Shane that name “Robert Lambert” sounds really familiar. He might still be here. I have known the guys that work at the hobby shops for several years now so I will ask them. I am working on making a new video of the track day. more to come on this

not yet. Still got about 1.5 years to go. ya ill be staying here for good after I am out. My wife is from here and she doesnt want to go to the states and neither do I. Oki is home for good

Nice. I’m going to hand in the rag too in about 3 years. I did the dumb thing and re enlisted for another four. Im in RAF Fairford England now. The base is about 170 american and the rest English Civilians. Very slow, no planes on the flight line. I had orders for Kadena before here but was transfered :( I was really excited. Kadena To Altus and back again, that would be too good to be true right. Done with moving around now. Going to Australia when I finish!

see now that is somewhere that I would like to go as well. The Ausies got some good drifting going on down there. Its pretty expensive compared to here but I imagine its about the same as there for you. Im looking forward to getting out. This is a small island but it really grows on you especially when your always on the go and traveling is cheap around this area of the world. Wouldnt trade it for anything.

Actually I just came from Australia for a month in May. Prices are extreme there. But at the moment it seems they get paid enough to carry on. But for me as I said to my wife’s family there, I get paid to live in England not in Australia. Food, gas, car parts, tobacco, houses, land is like double the price of US items. It’s like everything sold was imported from Enland and charged the exchange rate to AUD and put on sale for that price. Rediculous if you ask me. I would love to stay in Okinawa again man. When I got orders to Kadena again, I was really excited. Than I was transfered and It was like taking a donut from a fat cop.

Oh ok. well I cant tell you 100% how much it has but I can tell you what it is estimated at @ 1.5kg of boost. I figure somewhere between 550 and 600 PS right now and going to 1.8 should increase to around high 600 to low 700 range.

How much control do you have with that car. most people are saying putting a skyline engine in it you loose more control of the car?

well I must have the right setup for the RB then because the weight of the motor keeps the front end firmly planted to the ground. I was running some cheap ass yokohama tires up front and not once did I plow or feel like I was loosing control with the front end. I am running 12kg springs in the front and a nissan laurel sway bar and there is no body roll what so ever. The weight transfer is what will throw some people off but they also need to get a good alignment setup. I am running -3 degrees of camber in the front and -1 in the rear. I tried to focus a lot on the suspension setup and alignment setup for this car. It came out pretty good so I will stick with it.

For EBay I would love to get some things off you later on after August. I really need to sort out my 180sx before beefing up HP and body. I need to redo the front end bushings and steering boots. So since I am doing that, may aswell get the good stuff. Shipping APO to APO is free too! not that I trust the security of our mail though.

As for your car though sounds you know alot about it and would be great to have you help sort mine out with some good old japanese parts. And I finally got your video to work and confirms me being there atleast once. The car at the end of the video that was green and then Purple. was that the paint or the video doing that?

Not sure wich way im going yet Skrappy. I have a lot of issues with that car and it has to pass UK’s JCI in order to be driven. Fairford is closing and I have to go back to the states in August wich cut my time here short of two years. I cant take my 180sx with me either as it beats the classic time frame. The only thing I dont want to do is lose out on the money I spent on it about 4 grand american. I might be just taking my engine and dumping the car at the scrap yard. Not only that I have two other cars to work on, 73 charger and my wife’s mini.

will see what happens.

I will look at my car and see what I need to fix it and run the parts to you to do a price check. We will go from there. Prolly around November though. I am buying a Surf this month. Thanks for your help so far.
