New Look and Cancer
Last week had a few good sunny days. I had a chance to take one picture of how my car looks minus the stickers. I would say it looks nicer and cleaner. I took this photo from a window to give you the weird angle!
Now I’m going to show you the bad bits of my car. This should help most of you, and others that stumble onto this site to look closer before buying. I do like this car though, I feel really bad for what it’s been through. In the course of this year I will work on fixing these problems.
This is the boot of the car. Water has seeped through the tail lights. If it rains, water comes down the car through the hatch railing, flows right behind the tail lights where there is a bad seal. This isn’t the only rusty spot on the car. Another one is where the battery sits and will need to be fully replaced up to the fender. My best option for these two areas would be a donor car or parts car. My car is rust free after.
This is where my battery sat! I think that this chunk of rust is being held up by the water bottle underneath. Take a look at what the ground wire is hanging by. It is nearly broken off and is easily movable like its got a hinge. Very sad that it has gotten this far before being solved.
Upon searching for more rust in my boot, I dug my hands into the rear fenders where the tire jack sits, and found this shift knob. It was green, wet, and full of dirt. I hoped it would fit after cleaning and polishing. I think it’s very nice of the japanese to leave this treasure hidden inside the car. Im a very big fan of Brass, so it is ment to be.
I also found this horn button in the same hole I found the brass shift knob. It was pretty messed up as well, and I had to take it apart and clean it for it to work. It is a bit faded around the edge, but I think it is Much better than the white button with a flower on it.
I still have this problem though. There was this black puddy used to seal the tail lights, but obviously not good enough. I need your advise on what is the best way to solve this problem. I have a few Ideas but want to hear your opinions. Thank you for your help.
