JapShow Finale - Wash out!

Joe | October 5, 2008

Wow what a fecking wash out!

We arrived at Santa Pod about half nine this morning and it was already pelting down with rain and making some worryingly large puddles in the road. We parked up at the Banzai stand, chatted to the team and sheltered from the rain. As the morning progressed the weather got worse and worse until the Banzai guys decided to call it a day and we all headed home.

On my way out I heard someone shouting at us and realised it was Lex (he runs drifting lessons and events at the pod). As it was pelting down with rain he said why not let him take the car out for a quick session on the track, as i’m a drifting noobie I agreed and he took us out for a few circuits of his beginner course. It was great fun and I can’t wait to give it a go myself :)

Sorry for the quality of the images, my girlfriend took them from a long distance away with a crap camera :|

  1. Nice one Joe. I almost went myself, kinda glad I didn’t now!

Still, sounds like you had a good time being Lex’s passenger so not a wasted day by any means.

    laze.

  2. Yeah you did well not to come really the weather was *shocking*. I did a circuit around the trade area and the standing water was coming over the tops of my trainers :O

That little drifting session did show up my need for an uprated clutch, I guess that’s my next priority.
