I went on an adventure!

Wow this car continues to impress me! I just got back from a 700mile round trip to Newquay in Cornwall. We took the car down there to the Run To The Sun festival with three adults and a full boot and had no real problems with comfort or the ride height! Astonishing.

The engine didn’t miss a beat and we calculated with a little throttle it returned 32 mpg.

While i’m saving for a Power FC ecu I have been thinking about small jobs I can do on the car. I need to tweak the handbrake, I think the rear calipers are slightly binding, there’s a new rattle developed at 3k (ffs…). All fun and games :) I’m thinking of also taking off all of my intake side gear and giving it a good clean and a refresh, I need to check the state on some of the lower samco near the turbo.

Anyway enough of me rambling, here are a few nice pics :)

Some good pictures there, i was planning on going down to cornwall around august or september. Shall get alot of pictures.

Im constantly saving for something or other and end up spending my money on another part.

Lets hope the rattle isnt anything major!

Yeah Newquay is spot on mate, i’d definately recommend going. Morf is responsible for the good photo’s :)

Yeah saving for the big bits is the hardest part of building cars like ours, I wish I had more money to spend haha.

I reckon the rattle is a bolt working it’s way loose, on the exhaust or intake. It shouldn’t be too hard to track down.

And no I don’t have an aftermarket FPR as far as I know.

oh right, my car is crap on mpg it runs rich at the bottom end so im thinking of getting and after market FPR to try sort it out, i also have a SAFC to fit which may help aswell.

Will stop off in newquay on the way down. St.Ives in cornwall is also a really nice place to go aswell.

Yeah more money will sort out all the cars problems.

I almost sold my S13 last week, but just couldn’t bring myself to do it. So instead I’ve just spent a fortune on parts that should be with me in a week or two - exhaust, boost controller, uprated fuel pump, stage 2 chip, as well as new rear tyres.

Looking at your 180, and others on this site, I think I made the right choice :D

I think you made a good move mate, S13’s do seem to get in your blood. They are never right, never run perfect, there’s always niggles but I wouldn’t swap it for the world! Good luck with yours mate.
