Overdue Update

Its been a while since i posted an update about my car so here goes.

I fitted my brothers BOV but it wasnt adjustable so it was just leaking whenever I hit boost so that came straight off.

In previous posts someone said if i had spats on my car it would make it so much better as i had front bumper and side skirts with a standard rear bumper. I have gone for a Final Konnexion rear bumper to finish the kit off, i like it as its subtle and goes with the rest of the kit.

My bonnet has some play in it when driving, i can see it moving up and down slightly. Ive heard too many stories about bonnets flying open when driving especially with carbon or fibreglass ones so i fitted some bonnet pins for peace of mind.

A turbo time has been fitted which was very simple to install.

That looks great mate :) The rear bumper is spot on.

I also need to fit bonnet pins, I have already had my bonnet fly up and crack in half once, you’d have thought i’d learn..

thanks, i didnt want anything too uras as they are really low and flare out which wouldnt go with the sides or front.

i think you should invest in some bonnet pins joe. its difficult to find some reasonably prices stainless steel ones. i did find some on ebay but they have to be the worst grade of stainless every as they are rusting slightly. i think i will have to de rust and paint them.

Yeah it’s definately a good idea. I had some pins on my old rx7 but they were mega cheap and as you say; were starting to surface rust :(

I like those sunken carbon covered ones that driftworks sell but not at fecking £35!

ha ha, yeah i was thinking of getting them but i didnt want to pay £35, i thought about ally but then i thought they would corrode so i turned to stainless and still they manage to rust lol.

i know sparco sell stainless but again they are expensive. i think spending money on there may be worth it in the long run as they are an item which you see everyday.

IMO, 35 pounds isn’t a lot if it means saving your bonnet from smashing your frontwindow and roof.

The car is looking great though. :D:D Love the rearbumper.

driftworks also do ones which are lockable with a key for £39.50 i think. it’s a really good idea so someone can’t just come along and pop your bonnet and start takin bits off your engine. (it’s happened b4) i goto get some of these as i’v had to cut my bonnet catch off completely as it was in the way of my new front mount intercooler.
