Ok i think ive just about had enough now, engine went pop weekend before last, my fault entirely, i missed a gear out on track 4th to 3rd at 130ish mph, smoke everywhere, i think its melted the rings amongst other things (i ve not pulled it apart yet), bottom end seems ok though, no knocking, but lots of piston slap…..
Do i re build again or turn gay and stick an sr or ls1 in it?

Seriously though, I think it’s cool when people us the CA18. With a proper build and good servicing, they are so cool!! Rebuild this badboy man!! :D:D
Otherwise, if you really want something wicked, slam a VQ30DET in there. ;) 500bhp on stock internals. :D

SR bought, will go in standard for now, possibly v8 next year, or maybe forged sr and 3071r,
Thomas: it was a proper built ca i used to love ca s but they are just fundamentally weak, the oil pools in the head and you get mega oil starvation, which is whats killed mine, doing another track day in it next monday anyhow, wouldnt want to be behind me lol
