So I got my wheels back on and we fitted my shiny new rps13 carbon rear garnish today. It looks gooood.
RPS13 Carbon Rear Garnish
Hey guys here is a little teaser for all you carbon rear garnish fans
I’ve been on the hunt for one of these in the UK for a good few months but none of the UK dealers could come up with the genuine Nissan OEM item. I ended up importing mine from the states and i’ll post up who I bought it from and how the process was on Saturday.
I haven’t seen it on the car yet but it looks just awesome and I think it will nicely break up all the black on the back of the car.
^^ Pretty damn sexy..
MOT and a treat..
Numberplate and stock S14 wheels - not a good look..
It’s MOT and tax time for my 180sx and although it passed with flying colours, it looks like the next things that i’ll need to replace are my JIC Magic coilovers ![]()

Offset
To nick a phrase “offset is everything“. Everyone knows wheels make or break a car, you’ve all seen those widedbodied cars only to see the wheel hiding away in the arches destroying the look!
But what exactly is offset? It is simply the distance between the centreline of the wheel to the face of the mounting plate. Easy huh?
This can be a positive or negative number. The lower the figure the further out a wheel will stick and vice versa (also other factors such as wheel width to consider).
Fitting a set of wide, low offset wheels can totally complete the look of a car, but how do you know where you should begin in figuring out your offset?
Luckily there are several offset calculators floating around the net, but I’ve created a more user friendly one which can be found here, wheel offset calculator. It also features a visualisation section to try and help you understand offset further, instead of just being presented a set of numbers. (There are a couple of small bugs to be ironed out on the visual section, but it works well enough!)
